January 19 is the start of the Winter Bethesda Restaurant week, bringing lots of great restaurants to choose from like Caruso’s Grocery at Pike and Rose and Salt Line in Bethesda and Lia’s at Friendship Heights. Written by LIse Howe, Associate Broker, RLAH in Chevy Chase and an expert at eating in Bethesda’s best (and also most casual) restaurants!
Winter Bethesda Restaurant Week is coming soon! has a way of bringing out the food lover in all of us, and honestly, we never miss a chance to enjoy a great meal—especially when there’s a deal involved. That’s why Bethesda Winter Restaurant Week feels like a little gift in the middle of January. It runs from Monday, Jan. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 25, and it’s one of those weeks where the whole town seems to be eating well and eating out. Some of my favorite past clients particularly enjoy the restaurant weeks because they can walk from their homes in Kenwood Forest or Edgemoor to a great dinner at one of these restaurants and never worry about finding parking spaces!
The fun of Restaurant Week is getting to try multi‑course menus at some of our favorite local spots (and a few we’ve been meaning to check out) at prices that make it easy to say yes. This winter, participating restaurants are offering brunch for $25 or $35, three‑course lunches for $25 or $35, and dinners for $40, $55, or $65. A lot of places are also adding cocktail or wine pairings, plus some special to‑go and family‑style options for anyone who prefers a cozy night at home.

The full list is on the RAMW website, where you can filter by menu type, outdoor dining, neighborhood, cuisine, and even check pricing and hours. The lineup includes restaurants across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, so there’s plenty to explore.
A quick local tip: reservations go fast. If you already have a place in mind—or a time that works best—it’s smart to book early. And just a reminder that the special pricing doesn’t include beverages, tax, or gratuity. If you can’t make restaurant week or you can’t get a reservation, you can always eat at one of my favorite restaurants in Bethesda, the Tastee Diner, just a short walk from the lots of condo commuities like the Lionsgate and Fairmont Plaza
Restaurant Week happens twice a year, winter and summer, and it’s always a great excuse to support the incredible food scene we have here in the DMV. It’s one of those traditions that makes January feel a little warmer.
